The Most Anticipated Night of the Gala Season

Black Tie | #ConservatoryBall

The Conservatory Ball will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2019 and will celebrate Maureen K. Chilton’s nine years of service as NYBG’s Board Chair. Maureen has guided the Garden through a period of unprecedented success and growth, helping to sustain NYBG’s position as a renowned museum of plants, educational institution, and research and conservation organization.

Guests are invited to experience the highly anticipated exhibition Brazilian Modern: The Living Art of Roberto Burle Marx with his boldly modern landscape designs, executed in vibrant color and fluid geometric forms; his dynamic and influential works of art; and his celebrated contributions to horticultural exploration and plant conservation in his native Brazil. An opportunity to view original artworks and tours of the Garden will be available during the cocktail hour. An elegant dinner and an evening of dancing will follow in the Conservatory Tent.

Proceeds from the Ball help underwrite the Garden’s internationally acclaimed programs in children’s education, which serve more than 325,000 children and families in the tri-state area, and botanical research programs, which influence conservation, climate change, and biodiversity causes worldwide.

For more information or to purchase tickets to The Conservatory Ball, please contact Anita Hall at 914.579.1000 or e-mail [email protected]. If you are unable to attend, but would like to make a contribution, please visit our donation page.
