Event Co-Chairs
Please join us here at the Museum for The Spring Lunch: Science, Society, and Our Environment on Tuesday, May 7, as an expert panel explores geoengineering and asks: Could new technologies reduce the impact of climate change? The effects of climate change are becoming increasingly apparent, in our own backyards and around the world—and the most current scientific reports reveal a climate that is warming even faster than anticipated. Geoengineering, the deliberate and large-scale manipulation of an environmental process, is garnering interest as an innovative and technology-based countermeasure. This May, we will convene a panel of leading experts to explore the great possibilities—and potential pitfalls—of geoengineering as a bold new approach to fighting global climate change.
